These lizards exist at least as far north as Ephrata, where I have seen
and caught them several times out at Sagebrush Flats (also the last
stronghold for Pygmy Rabbits). Additionally, they are not uncommon aroun
Moses Lake area and the Columbia NWR. Where I have seen them was in
sagebrush or rocky basalt areas. At Sagebrush Flats they were more
likely to be down in the gullies than up on the hillsides, but of course
that's only based on my few observations (n=5?) over a 3-month period.
Jeremy Owen, a WDOW employee was doing some pitfall trapping for lizards
throughout the Columbia Basin, and he frequently caught these, though I
don't know how far north he found them (he had sites as far north as
Coulee City).
