To add to Anna's note, Mountain Quail are a real hit or miss anywhere on
the
Kitsap Peninsula. My parents in Gig Harbor have them nest sporadically in
their
backyard. I believe quail nested this year also, but have also "migrated."
They
don't appear to be easy to to find by just crusing the roads either. I have

never seen them from the road in western Washington.
