Crows on the UW campus have a marvelous time flying into the exhaust from
the tall dorms. The heaters/ac units (or whatever they are) are mounted
on the roof and have a huge blower which vents all that hot air (no doubt
there's alot of it in a student dorm!). They will fly into it and get
swooped up about 100 feet or more before flying out of it, and either
riding again or sitting out for a spell. Must be like the biggest
thermal ever to them. Wish I could do it...
