This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington /
northeastern Oregon bird hotline for Friday, April 7, 1995.

Dan Svingen reports seeing at least one GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL at
the Fighting Creek Landfill, 14 miles south of Coeur d'Alene on
March 31. The entrance is on the west side of US 95 between mile
post 415 and 416. Stop at the office in the blue building to let
them know you are there. Check your June 1994 Winging It! for a
map.

At least 3 BLUE JAYS are flying around northeast Moscow, in the
vicinity of Rotary Park, Orchard Avenue, Homestead, and Virginia
Avenue, according to Dave Hamilton, Roseanne Begger, and Dale Goble.

Dan Svingen saw three wren species up Asotin Creek on April 1,
including BEWICK'S WREN, CANYON WREN and ROCK WREN. See
Washington DeLorme p. 43, b-8.

Dennis Paulson, co-author of A Guide to Bird Finding in Washington
and author of Shorebirds of the Pacific Northwest, will be at
Washington State University on Monday, April 10. Dennis will be
discussing shorebird migration at Grays Harbor, Washington. His
talk is in Cleveland Room 30E at 3:45.
