On your way up island make sure you stop at the Goldstream estuary. There
is a wonderful walk through old growth cedar down to the mouth of the river.
The park has a great visitor centre where you can watch a monitor set up on
a humingbird feeder. The estuary supports a host of birds as well. The park
is about 1/2 hour out of Victoria on the highway up island.
