A friend recently went birding in E. Wash. and went looking
for the GH Owl nest in the cliffs so. of the old Vantage
road east of Ellensburg. He didn't see any owls but did see
a hawk sitting on a nest. Only the top of the head was
visible so he didn't get a good enough look to identify it.
Has anyone else seen this nesting hawk and identified it?
