I can't tell you who or what Steve's sources are (I feel like a
journalist all of a sudden :>), but he stated in his message on the
Birdbox that the source was a reliable and informed one.
BTW, in addition to the mentioned species, a Northern/Gilded Flicker
split and a Scrub Jay split were mentioned.
