Hi there,

concerning the respective impact of cat and children, I would like to add
that both points of view are defensible, but one can even go further on this
slippery slope...

What should we think about birders driving hundred of miles (and burning
gallons of gas, and road-killing a couple of birds on their way) to go and
seek a rarity ?

Also, what should we think of (many of) ourselves, going out with our cameras,
thus leading to more pollution due to the processing of the films ?

What should we think of all our WOOD houses, which are not really innocent
in all the logging taking place all over the place ?

And many other things...

When on this mood, starting with no cats, then no children, one logicaly ends
with no human at all, including (and maybe beginning by) oneself.

Maybe we should go to a gun shop and ask for a discount, being a community
psychologicaly at risk :-). Or ask for tips from some anti-FBI in Oklahoma
City ...

Then, "tweeters" would stop being busy (and using some bandwidth on this net,
hence less need for electricity), and the world would be better !

I'm afraid this message is not politicaly correct.
That's probably because I am in France at the moment, with hunters getting
ready to slaughter some sort of Doves _Streptopelia turtur_ (english name,
Stuart, please) in the Medoc (south-west of France) by tens of thousands...

As Dennis suggested, maybe I should add a :^) somewhere in this message !

Maybe we should stop this thread for a few months (no doubt it will reappear
in a while).

Anyway, TRY TO enjoy birding next weekend !

A bird in the bush is better than two in the hand ...
... expect, as Stuart objected to me once, for banders :-)
