Dear Teresa,
Well, I for one hope that you recover from the "net singeing" you
just experienced, because you've been putting some interesting and
worthwhile posts to Tweeters. If it's any help, this happens to everyone
eventually (on *some* subject or other) and long-term netters seem to
develop a modified set of reflexes, which may be good or bad... Things
*do* sound harsher even when they're not meant harshly, but often they
are meant harshly.
I am not a cat owner but I too felt a bit singed over the blaze
attitude I've had toward cat->bird predation.
As for your point about children, hear hear. I'm struck by the
number of people who use the eco line, "We have to save the planet for
our children." You want to save the planet, don't have any children!
