Just like to point out that when there is a change in the
hunter/conservationists relationship, my *observation* (not my opinion: I
offer this observation without comment) is that hunters often become
conservationists, never the other way around. What does this suggest?

I would also offer the tired old point that humans who respect animals try
to protect them, not kill them.
