I'm really intrigued by the label - "White Anglo-Saxon Protestant" and why it
is used so often in the United States, to denote anybody of European origin.
Being of Pictish, Scots and Viking descent it would not seem to be an accurate
description (apart from the Viking bit). I'm sure Serge Le Huitouze would
agree.

The reason I am over here is that historically northern Scotland was socially
and eccomonically decimated by WASP's in an attempt to wipe out a culture
which did not possess the same values as they did. Europe is full of people
who suffered at the hands of WASPs - Basques, Gypsies, Serbs, Muslims, Jews,
Sammi, to name but a few. So using such a general label would be quite
inappropriate.

Go and see the films "Rob Roy" and "The Secret of Roan Inish" it should give
an insight into non-WASP values.
