Hi Tweets, 2 notes for you:

1.) Had my first large butter-butt flock yesterday, about 20-30 birds in
4-5 trees in my front yard. They were very active, zipping around
between trees, so it was tough to get a good count. In the flock were at
least 2 'Myrtle' warblers, one of which was singing.

2.) This morning while coming out of my slumber, I heard all the normal
bird songs in my pseudo-awake state: Robin, Bewick's Wren, YR Warbler,
Song Sparrow, and BC Chickadee. A few seconds later a song which made me
almost jump out of bed - a Canyon Wren! Sure enough, it sang again, the
very distinctive descending notes of a Canyon Wren. Just as I was about
to hit the floor running, I also heard the distincive monotone voice
announcing the next species on my Peterson bird CD that my girlfriend was
listening to downstairs... Oh well, it was exciting for a brief minute.
