My experience from interior WASH on the spring passage of shorebirds is that it
occurs in the first 10 days of May except for early birds like snipe, stilt,
avocet and LB Curlew as Scott Ray mentioned. Stragglers are stll occurring into
mid-May. There is no doubt its a speedy migration in spring in my mind, in
contrast to the protracted and seemingly leisurely movements of fall.
