Dear tweeters

There was a very nice male yellow-headed blackbird on Whidbey
Island this past Sunday, on the large tidal pool immediately
south of Fort Casey, adjoining the ferry terminal (maybe it is
called Crockett Lake?... I'm not 100% sure what the name is).

If the north end of the lake was twelve o'clock, we saw the
blackbird at the ten o'clock position. It was a nice spot.
There are lots of ducks on the lake, which is very full this
year. Maybe a couple hundred shorebirds or so... not all that
many. The lake is large enough that only the birds on the near
shore could be ID'd, though.

Happy birding... John Sidles
