Given that most computer software only represents years in dates by using
the last 2 digits, eg 95 instead of 1995, , I think the likelihood of the
world or at least Western Civilisation NOT coming to an end in 5 years to be
pretty small ;-)

Look at the (present ?) situation in China. This might not be such a good
idea - especially when it comes to female babies !!

Totally out of my depth here - but why should that stop me ;-> Most of my
ecolgist/zoologist friends think that the 1950's and 1960's will be described
as the Golden Age of disease control - when diseases are in retreat for the
first and last time. Given the emergence of new viruses and new strains, AIDS
and Tuberculosis being classic examples, it would appear that in a sense
modern medicine is struggling to deal with the problems caused by
over-population. A situation which is only likely to get worse.

Mother Nature strikes back ?????
