I agree with you on this one!!

Too many are unplanned for, unwanted, and uncared for after the arrival. How
come you never hear the radical right talking about taking care of them AFTER
the birth????

It is my absolute belief that until we learn to care for our babies, old folks,
and animals, we are lost.

Gandi said the final judge of a civilization was how it care for its babies and
old people.....need anyone say more???

Maureen, I'm so glad you have Mindy and that you are able to take care of
her...this last year and a half has been really tough for me in the money
department. But in another year and a half I WILL be debt free. Getting there
is tough, however.

Give Mindy my love -- my old cat had problems with dehydration and had the fluid
packs. Poor Mindy, her life must have been hell. It's a constant battle to
keep the fleas at bay. I use a flea comb because I don't like using a lot of
chemicals on my animals. The flea comb works well. Then I work at keeping
fleas out of the house. If I keep them out of the house and comb them off the
animal, it works pretty well. But you have to do the combing every day.

Have a good day -- I may go check out the heron nest today. Let me know if you
are interested!
