Tweeters,
HELP! A very healthy-looking rat has wandered up from the Lake WA
shoreline to my backyard a block away and now considers the birdseed
droppings below our feeder to be his/her personal smorgasbord. I think
this topic was mentioned at some point during the last year in this
forum, and many suggestions tending toward eco-friendly eradication
(perhaps relocation is a better word) were made. Poisonous solutions are
out as my 2 dogs spend time out there (obviously, not enough; they can't
be out there all the time). I tried the cayenne-in-the-seed approach,
which seemed to deter IT for a day or two, but now it has returned in all
its plump, sleek, rodent glory.
Any suggestions are welcome--private email OK <jmm2 at u.washington.edu>
