One brief thought on the 'had' thread - it's probably short for 'this
morning I had in my field of view a Mourning Dove'. It's easier to just
say 'this morning I had a Mourning Dove'.

Anyway, I went to ML Fill last night and this morning, and I had in my field
of view several species of interest (is that better?). They are listed
below in no particular order:

2 Solitary Sandpipers (last night - perhaps they were Not-so-solitary
Sandpipers?)
6 Least Sandpipers (last night)
14 Least Sandpipers (today)
1 Common Snipe (today)
1 Wilson's Warbler (today - my first of the year)
2 Mourning Doves (today)
5 species of swallows (both times - includes NRWS)
1 Brown-headed Cowbird (female today - my first of the year)
Broods for Canada Goose, Mallard, and distraction by Killdeer
