There is now in existence a committee working on a standardized list of
English names for all birds of the world. I have no idea how far they've
come, or if their meetings merely degenerated into brawls. It's a long
overdue idea, as there are now almost a half-dozen lists of birds of the
world with English names. THEN, it'll be interesting to see how many
people accept their list.....
