The year was 1992, BTW.

Regarding it being an invasion year, this was predicted beforehand
by some people and passed on to HawkWatch, the group that I
volunteer for. I never bothered to ask just who those people
were, because so many of our pre-season predictions turn out
to be about as reliable as a tout sheet for the horse track...

But this one was right on.
