Hi Tweeters,

Rob Klein saw a flock of about 60 Band-tailed Pigeons (BTPI) at the 1150 m
level at Cypress Bowl in W Vancouver BC on Sunday. This would be in
cedar/hemlock/fir. Campbell et al. says in Birds of BC that their migration
doesn't usually get underway until late August.

Since they nest in the area, this gathering may be preparatory to migration,
if it is not already a migrant flock.
