Particularly when these aren't even bird abbreviations, but agency
jargon!

FWS == Fish & Wildlife Service (USF&W to the rest of us).

ROMO is a mispelling of a popular kind of tomato used in Italian
cooking :) (which is just my way of saying "huh?")
