Well, I voted for the option that keeps "Scrub-jay" in all three names,
for an extremely logical and biologically important reason: to show that
these three species (if that's what they're going to be now, officially)
are actually allospecies (or semispecies) of a superspecies--to remind us
all, in other words, that they're very closely related. (Since I have
such a vastly superior reason behind my choice, it's better than your
choices, so I win and nyaah, nyaah, nyaah!) And I _like_ hyphens for the
reasons David Wright gives. "Scrub-jay" reminds us that these are birds
of scrubby habitats. "Scrub jay" might be misinterpreted to mean that
these are second-string players on the birdy team or, even worse, as an
order to give those jays a good hard cleaning.
