I don't know if this has made the rounds yet. Our system was down for about
18 hours and I don't see any message. If this is a repeat, I'm sorry for the
duplication. A CURVE-BILLED THRASHER has been hanging around the Tokatee
Ranger Station in Douglas County since July 12. Apparently Harry Nehls was
called shortly after its discovery, but for some mysterious reason he did not
tell anyone of this. Anthony Floyd happened to stop there and found the bird
yesterday. It is usually around the residential loop under the cliff face.
The bird is sometimes hard to see, but is very vocal. Those are the only
details I know. I hope to get down there tomorrow and will add any
additional information I can.
