Randy--

this little quiz was such a sleeper on the *Bird Talk* radio show
that I posted it for the Tweets who cannot receive the signal as they
don't live in the OLY area..the odd thing about it is that some very
good birders participated in the call-ins and none of them, nor any of
us on the show, got it..it seemed like great fun and the show got more
phone-ins than any other *Bird Talk* show since it's been on the air..
The response to the quiz has been positive so far..I admit it's getting
a little long in the tooth, and one lurker already said uncle..
It's a judgement call, I guess..many folks really enjoy participating and
it's fun for them to see who guesses what and to keep track of the
birds mentioned...I have been posting summaries to assist with the
choosing of the next guess..

I think we've already had this discussion with the Limerick thread,,if you
look back in your READ MAIL file you'll find the posts where everyone
pretty much agreed the *D* button took care of unwanted posts..the tremendous
variety of topics on and off the subject of birds is what holds this all
together...it's a great list and there's opportunity for all kinds of
information exchange in a multiple use format...if things get wearing
exercise your *D* button..otherwise, you risk starting a long thread on
why things aren't perfect (in your eyes) on the Tweeters Net and all those
pay by message folks you're worried about will get trashed again while
people argue back and forth about the state of the net...
