There is a large Caspian Tern colony in Columbia R, about 6 mi
from where I live (Naselle, Pacific Co., WA). I have been hearing
and seeing both juv and ad Casp Tns flying over our home for
at least a couple of wks now. I have not noticed an especially
bigger number compared to other yrs -- max of e.g., 10 per
day make it over our way. So, I would say tentatively that
matter has not been transferred / created in our tern colony
area, however I do not have access to actually go there and
find out.
