After watching the antics of the neighborhood crows the past few evenings, I'm
wondering if anyone has done a study (or something) in regards to where the
big roosts are in Seattle. I see at least 50 crows flying north every
evening, from my new house, and I wonder where they are going. Perhaps I'll go
chase them some free evening. (Sounds harder than hot air balloon chasing!)

How far from the roost will crows fly during the day? And will they roost
in the city? There is a huge clump of dense trees just south of the house, and
I suspect some crows are roosting there. They will occasionally dash out and
fight with the fly-by crows.

Last night I was also treated to 2 Great Blue Herons flying over head. What a
sight!
