I went blueberry picking this Sunday (after pulling loosestrife!) and found a
nice birding spot, also.

Mountain View Berry Farm, 7617 E. Lowell-larimer Rd, Snohomish 206-668-3391
Take exit 186 off I-5, head east. Turn north on Seattle Hill Road (the
intersection is about half a mile past the bison farm), follow it until it
ends. Turn right, and the berry farm is on the left hand side of the road
after about 2 miles or so.

While picking, I spotted:

- 2 unknown raptors (the sun was in my eyes!)
- 1 red-tailed hawk
- more jays than I could shake a stick at

and a whole bunch more birds that I couldn't identify, since I'd left both
birdbook and binocs in the truck. Probably was a good idea, though, as my
hands were very purple by the end of the day. (Still have one or two purple
fingernails!)

The berries are perfectly ripe right now, and are simply falling into your
bucket. I picked 30 pounds in about an hour, and the berries are sweet with
no mealyness at all. Mmmmmmmm.

If you go, I reccomend walking out and up to the far edge of the field, where
the u-pick bushes end, and cutting across into the middle rows. The edges
have been picked pretty clean.

The farm is for sale, if anyone wants to own 10 acres of 30 to 35 year old
sweet blueberry bushes...

And yes, Nate/Stuart, I'll bring blueberry muffins to Thursday's pull. :)
