IN SEARCH OF ENDANGERED WHOOPING CRANES
Join us to learn about and attempt to view in the wild highly endangered
whooping cranes during their migration. Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is located
directly on their migration path, and during this fall program over the last 15
years we have been able to find the whoopers 95% of the time. Saturday's
instruction will feature Brian Johns, Coordinator, Whooping Crane Research and
Monitoring Program, Canadian Wildlife Service, and Earle Wiltse, Endangered
Species Biologist of the Saskatchewan Government's Wildlife Branch. Sunday is an
all day field trip led by Stan Shadick and myself. October 7 and 8, 1995. Fee:
$95. For further information contact: Peter Jonker, Coordinator of Environment,
