I am still completing my first cycle of seasons here in Washington so I'm
still learning the avian seasons. But today I had my first real feeling of
fall migration as I saw a winter plumage Western Tanager and a MacGillivray's
Warbler in amongst a flock of Robins that were grabbing berries off the
trees. I live near Pine Lake in a mixed coniferous forest.
