Jon, Interesting thoughts on grazing and Sharp-tails. It is my fervent hope
management practices can be implemented which brings this species out of its
tailspin in WA. I fear it will soon be gone in virtually all of its range here.
If there ever was a "Red Alert" case in WA, this is one. One only has to review
the recent lek counts in the WDFW publication on Sharp-tails to see a crisis.
Then go out in the field to most of those sites and see the pressure on the
landscape by bovines. 'Tis sad.
