I don't see a problem with this, particularly on local trips. On OBOL,
we've started trying to encourage some of the local Audubon chapters to
post trips: currently available are Salem and Portland for those
interested (I'm leading a trip to Ridgefield NWR near Vancouver on 30
Sept, for example). I also think it's important for pelagic trips for
those of us with little experience, so we know when to go. I also
suspect that savvy internet surfers will start putting announcements such
as this out there, but it's good to know.
By the way, real birders get their lifer whooping crane in
Nebraska, not in Texas or Saskatchewan ;)
