Well, those trips were originally PAS trips until Greg Gillson
decided to "turn pro" or whatever. I've not talked to our
editor so don't know if it's a matter of poor communication
or what. We've been taking a hard stance recently, refusing
to publish stuff that don't meet our 8th-of-the-month submission
deadline.

I haven't been able to talk the editor into my solution to
late submissions, though, nearly-blank pages with the
statement:

"this page intentionally left blank by <late submitter's name>"

That's right kind of you, though you could consider collecting
it and sending it in as a donation. :)

We did it because on the "honor system", some drivers who
really wanted some gas money reimbursement occasionally found
themselves with folks who apparently were raised without
being taught good manners.

So, we made a "suggested donation" policy statement to take
the driver out of the position of asking without any stated
policy to back up the request.
