cDwJon, I believe Conboy Lake is the Camas Prairie your seeking. Greater Sandhills
nest there still - probably 2-3 pairs in an average year. To view them ,hike
the Conboy NWR nature trail north to the observation tower near the north end
of the loop trail (trail starts near HDQS,).

Greater Sandhill Cranes also nest at Polo Fields on the Yakima Indian Res.,
which lies about 10 km north of Signal Peak. Two young raised in 1995. These
two tiny populations comprise the WA breeding contigent of Sandhill Cranes, as
far as I know
