Hi Michael,
I have been conducting riparian plant surveys in the
Okanogan National Forest near Winthrop this summer and have tried to
keep track of my bird observations. I would be very pleased if they
would be of some use to your project. I have not kept a tally of
numbers. I do make species lists. An example is the following from the
upper Wolf Creek drainage near Gardner Mt. for the dates 9 August thru 17
August:

American Robin
American Tree Sparrow
White-winged Crossbill
Golden-crowned Kinglet
Red-breasted Nuthatch
Spruce Grouse
Clark's Nutcracker
Hairy Woodpecker
Pine Siskin
Dark-eyed Junco
Mt. Chickadee
Northern Flicker
Gray Jay
American Kestrel
Hermit Thrush
Townsend's Solitaire
Stellar's Jay
Rufous Hummingbird
Townsend's Warbler
Yellow-rumped Warbler (both Myrtle and Audubon's)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
American Dipper
Song Sparrow
Empid sp. (Dusky?)
Black-backed Woodpecker, male
Great Horned Owl
Nashville Warbler
Veery
Golden Eagle
Swift (Vaux's?, Black?)
Solitary Sandpiper
Prairie Falcon
Northern Goshawk
Northern Pygmy-Owl

I had to unsubscribe to Tweeters in June, due to my change of
location to the Methow, but have been able to catch up on the mail when I
get back to this side of the mountains. I will resubscribe in
September. Sorry to have missed the picnic. Thanks to Don for the pictures.
Nos vemos,
Paul
