Several years back I went on a Saskatchewan whooping crane field trip. We
were fortunate enough to see a single whooping crane. The people who ran the
trips did an excellent job and I would highly recomend it. It was a most
enjoyable weekend of birding and the numbers of Sandhill Cranes that migrate
thru Saskatchewan in the fall have to be seen to be believed.
I also feel that trips like these should be listed on Tweeters. A lot of
birders would not be afforded the knowledge that such special trips are being
offered.
