Dean--

Last night I had occasion to call Steve Layman, long time raptor rehabber
and falconer who lives on Whidbey Island..in the course of our chat I
mentioned the beautiful white retail in the NAFA newsletter...he said he
and his son, also a falconer, have been watching a white female redtail
for the last 5 years or so..he added that while she is definitely white, she
hasn't produced any white hawks like herself as far as he could determine.
If yours is a white redtail, it's even more rare than a kite sighting..
It also may have been passing through..hopefully headed for the Nisqually
Delta..sighh-hhh..
