I would say lose flocks or groups. At Cape May, New Jersey, Flickers
would pass overhead in big "waves" of perhaps hunreds of birds at a time,
flying a little higher that tree top level. I have not seen anything like
that in Washington, groups of 10-15 is all that I can recall. 50 would be
a pretty good congregation I would think.
