Not much happening birdwise at Montlake Fill yesterday:

1 lesser yellowlegs
1 spotted sandpiper
2 western sandpipers
1 green heron
1 belted kingfisher
3 green winged teal

eh, thats it.

Progress is kind of slow on the loosetrife - mainly due to a lack of pullers
(OK I know 8am, Sunday morning is asking a lot !!!). However those stalwarts
who were there made some good progress working on the loosetrife/grass mix at
the edge of the NE corner - the area is now big enough for a decent sized
parking lot - for shorebirds that is :-)

I've decided to award Honors with Distinction to Susan Collicot for
dedication above and beyond the call of duty - 7.30am start (not an isolated
occurence !!) and for generally being nice - no, the superb blueberry
tea-bread she brought along on Thursday did not influence my decision :-) Good
luck tomorrow - not that you'll need it. !!!!
