~Dennis, There are two Yakima County records of Scrub Jays that I know of:
1-"one was at a feeder in the Ahtanum Valley 10 miles west of Yakima Dec. 10,
1972 (AB:32:3)".
2-one spent several days frequenting the feeder of Yakima Auduboner Jean Chott
beginning 2 October 1992 (AB:47:142).

It seems probable these individuals wandered over Satus Pass as you suggest,
as did the Lesser Goldfinch that was at Fort Simcoe in October 1990.
Undoubtedly, Satus Pass and Creek provided the avenue for the local population
of Bushtits which are found in that area also.
