This is the Lower Columbia Basin Audubon Society Rare Bird Hotline for
December 5th. For any questions regarding LCBAS call Mike Lilga at 946-8966.

The Yellow-billed Loon was still on Blue Lake along Highway 17 below Dry
Falls on December 2nd. Other birds on the lake included Common Loons,
Red-necked and Western Grebes, a White-winged Scoter, a Red-breasted
Merganser, and other assorted ducks.

The Rusty Blackbird was seen by Mike and Merrylynn Denny along Highway 125
near the Tomco Seed Company about 14 miles north of Walla Walla on December
2nd. It's with a flock of about 30 Red-winged Blackbirds. The flock ranges
along the highway, but is not necessarily easy to find.

Today Nancy and Bill LaFramboise have had a Harris' Sparrow and a
Golden-crowned Sparrow with the usual feeder birds.

Also today, Phil Bartley discovered a White-throated Sparrow in the Columbia
Point area. From the Point, take the semi-paved road heading west and then
the first right after entering the trees. The sparrow was in the field to
the left of the road about one tenth of a mile off the semi-paved road.

Bob Woodley had a single Pine Siskin and a single Townsend's Solitaire in
his yard this morning.

The weather change is apparently bringing in new birds.

To report your sighting, please give your name and your phone number and
your sighting.

Thank you.
