I agree that seeing the subject in person is critical, but I've noticed
that sometimes photographs of a bird I've taken don't match my
memory of what the bird looked like. Which is more valid? I submit that
my memory is more subjective than my photos. I actually don't see how
the black patch can be shown in photos to be not solid from several
different angles--granted there appears to be alot of black--but not solid.
Hopefully I'll be getting a "live" look at it this afternoon.
