There is a winter male Brambling at a house / feeder
in Naselle, Pacific co., WA.

I saw this bird today, 12/6; it was seen yesterday by
my wife, Ann Musche'; Rex first saw the bird on
Wed., 11/29, and only sporadically since then. It
seems pretty regular, but can take an hour or two
to see well.

If you are interested in travelling to Naselle to
try to see this bird, call the house-owner and
finder of the bird: Rex Ziak -- 360/484-3491. Leave
a message if he doesn't answer right away -- he is
working next door, and frequently out of the house.

Russell -- can you tell me what the other records are
in WA for Brambling? I told Rex I was thinking 10 or
less, but I don't know that I remember all of them.
I wrote a description, and Ann did a sketch -- will
send to you soon. Rex may get a good photo, and
I will send print if any turn out.
