Don, I was able to get a few shots (with a camera!) yesterday. I've
never encountered a bird with so little fear of humans. In fact, I even
thought of becoming its agent and booking it for birding tours around the
northwest! Seriously, the bird sometimes would get WITHIN the focusing
range of my 300-4! Luckily for me, Stuart was there to point it out--it
likes to stay low in the grass and blends in quite well. Bring
waterproof pants--it's wet and muddy right now.
