The conversation which has been going on should encourage many of us out
there who feel unsure about what we are seeing every once in a while.
Here is a bird that people have gotten to within several feet of, in
resaonable light, and with photos, and its exact identity cannot be
wholly determined. All of us are still learning about these and all
birds, and we run across challenges every day. Don't be discouraged by
these; use them to add to your knowledge base.
The winds down this way are still quite calm. Two ruby-crowned
kinglets are very busy feeding, however. This bird generally responds
well to pishing, but this morning they wanted no part of it--is this an omen?
