I've been out to see it twice, the last time with a field trip group of 20
and did flush it once inadvertently (before I knew where to look for it),
but our field trip group just stood there as it walked around and almost
over our feet before flying a short way entirely on its own initiative. I
don't know that there's reason to think that birders are putting all that
much pressure on the bird.
