I got the following response from reporting a collar-tagged Canada goose
(see below for my note to them). Thanks to Stuart for a much earlier posting
indicating that a white collar with three numbers and one letter are Oregon
Department of Fish and Wildlife studies. The e-mail I found to send this to

my note to ODFW

Hi,

I've come across a Canada goose with a
white neck collar with the characters
"584V" in black. I've been told this is
from the Oregon Department of Fish and
Wildlife, and I'd like to let the appropriate
party know about this sighting:

12/18/95 at 12:20pm on the University
of Washington campus - at Husky stadium
on the east warmup field. It was with
11 other Canada geese, and one unidentified
white and gray goose (looks like a feral
domestic goose to me). Temperature in the
high 40's (F), cloudy, light wind.
