Would someone please clarify for me if the above diseases are two
_different_ entities, or the same disease with different manifestations.

I have read a lot about "House Finch Disease", also called house finch
conjunctivitis, which causes the birds' eyes to swell, ooze and crust over.

I've also read about Avian Pox, and think I remember that it is either
limited to or predominates in house finches. I'm sure I've seen Avian Pox in
some of my house finches, characterized by bizarre tumors about the head and
neck.
