Subject: Cooper's Hawk?

Would it be unusual for me to have seen a Cooper's Hawk in my garden this
morning? I live in Ballard and have a large and active population of
feeder birds in the yard. I've heard folks mention seeing Sharp-shinned
hawks in town but not Coopers.

The bird in question was sitting low in a shrub near the feeders, had a
rounded end to it's beautifully barred tail and appeared to be wearing a
dark black cap over it's greyer neck and back.

I first thought it was a crow from behind until it flicked its tail and
turned around. It was nearly crow-sized which was another pointer to
Coopers over the smaller Sharp-shinned.

I don't have a lot of experience with these birds - any
advice or wisdom from the Tweets would be appreciated.
