Herb--

Of all the birds of prey associated with hunting, the stories I've
collected about accipiters are far and away at the top of the
*have no fear* list..falcons break off a chase rather than risk
feather injury as their bird disappears into the bush..accipiters
charge right in after them..goshawks have been known to hit the
ground running after a rabbit and actually disappear down a hole
chasing it..Cooper's Hawks have a reputation for unmatched ferocity
and relentless pursuit..Don Baccus' story of the tiercel Coop
he trapped some years back with a stick rammed through it's body
in the tail area, still hunting successfully comes to mind...
So it's easy to believe fearless feats of derring-do about Sharpies and
Coops...
